We support fulfilling careers in the arts industry with our BTEC programmes. This course will equip an individual with the practical and theoretical skills required to follow a creative career.

Course content

BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma and Extended Diploma Performing Arts Practice

1 Year Course - Foundation Diploma, 540 hours

In the first year there are two core modules; Circus Skills Development and The Performing Arts Industry.

This is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels.

2 Year course - Extended Diploma, 1080 hours

In addition to the first year modules, the second year comprises of two projects which are interrelated through two modules; Personal Performing Arts Profile and Collaborative Performing Arts profile.

This is equivalent to 3 A levels.


The course consists of 10 hours of weekly training during term time, consisting of a mix of in-person and remote learning. During non-term time there are intensive training sessions. These intensives deepen training and creative practice and allow for practical assessments.

These are set hours for the course to ensure all training, material and assessments are covered. However, we always seek further performance and training opportunities for the group to enhance their learning and professional experience.

BTEC level 3 students are entitled to 20% off student discount on all classes and courses at Circus Central

Course Fees

 - 12 monthly payments of £255 (first payment due September 2021)
 - Or, a one-off payment of £2850

This fee includes exam board and teaching fees.
